The Loop

Most outer conflict springs from an inner fight.
We crave peace, yet to stay in it is difficult.
What rises to the surface is insecurity and anxiety.
Subconsciously, we take up the fight—
It is easier than facing what stirs inside.
We rush to fix things outside,
And the effort leaves us tired.
There’s a strange satisfaction in the struggle—
A loop we unconsciously enjoy,
A hidden thrill we call life.

True Confidence

Confidence is not how well we talk—
not to this person or that,
nor how smoothly we speak in crowd,
nor how we charm with clever words.
True confidence is how we communicate in silence.
