Surrender

After years of watching thoughts
rise and fall in meditation,
I suddenly accepted every part of self.
Embracing own thoughts,
every conflict and fear,
are welcomed home,
becoming strangely sweet.
The mind is no longer drained by thoughts.
A deep silence,
not created or imagined,
but patiently waits beneath,
It appears
The moment I close my eyes.
The silent depth unfolds.
Thoughts make the way
as a king arrives.
That is called surrender—
to oneself
and to God.

It will be Natural
The mind does not easily surrender—
Such a lovely nature.
Too much explaining, too much convincing—
Still, something is missing,
In deep silence, it just happens.

Poem
Whom to surrender?
The one worth losing all else for?
It just happens-
with no doubt, no second thought,
to what the heart truly longs for.
